How to play Pin Drop

Find the named city on the globe. Drag to rotate, and scroll or pinch to zoom. Tap to place a green pin, then tap elsewhere to move it.

When you’re ready, choose Confirm my pin. We’ll reveal the city in purple and show your distance and score. Choose Next location to continue. Each round has five cities and you get one confirmed pin per city.

Each pin earns up to 1,000 points. Within 25 km of the approximate city centre earns full marks; beyond that, scores fall smoothly as the distance grows. The maximum is 5,000. There’s no timer. Rounds change at midnight UTC, and you can replay previous days. Progress stays in this tab’s memory; refreshing starts over. Keyboard controls and imagery credits are below the globe.
